DMM was retained by Hahnville High School in St. Charles Parish to develop and conduct a Culture and Climate Assessment designed to move forward the District’s commitment of fostering a caring, diverse, and inclusive school community. The initiative provides a framework for the district and schools to implement a comprehensive diversity and inclusion plan to create a respectful and inclusive school and work environment for all students, faculty, staff and parents regardless of race, gender or economic status that enhances school culture, climate, and student achievement. DMM conducted confidential individual investigative interviews, focus groups, and online questionnaires to obtain feedback, perceptions, and experiences from stakeholders regarding their time at Hahnville High School. Strengths and Challenges were identified, findings were established and recommendations were made to the St. Charles Parish School Board. The Board accepted the initiative with plans to implement system-wide.
