DMM and Associates was retained by Roy Anderson Corp (RAC) / HRI to identify additional certified DBE businesses for consideration with respect to fulfilling subcontracts with the project and assisted in development of strategies to increase the level of DBE participation in the final phase of the 225 Baronne Street property in preparation for the city of New Orleans Real Estate Tax Abatement (RTA) Committee hearing. DMM’s scope of work included: analysis of the utilization of locally-owned and controlled businesses on the project and the contract value; monitoring of the original DBE goal established for the project; tracking and documentation of the number of DBEs engaged by the project and the contract value for each; reporting on overall DBE goals; and the identification of the remaining tasks on the project by trade area that could be performed by DBE firms. DMM was successful in assisting the project obtain the RTA designation within the project’s established timeline.
